Full-mouth dental implants — including All-on-4® and All-on-X full-arch dental implants — offer a fixed, long-term alternative to removable dentures for patients with missing, failing or severely damaged teeth. The treatment uses four or more strategically positioned implants to support a secure, natural-looking full-arch bridge, and qualified patients can often receive temporary fixed teeth on the day of surgery — commonly called Teeth-in-a-Day or same-day dental implants.

Dr. Nader Salib is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Newport Beach with advanced experience in full-mouth dental implant rehabilitation, immediate-load implant treatment and complex denture replacement. The original All-on-4® Treatment Concept was developed with important support from Nobel Biocare, which commercially launched the treatment concept and helped bring this pioneering approach to full-arch implant rehabilitation to patients worldwide. As a key opinion leader and lecturer for Nobel Biocare, Dr. Salib has extensive experience with Nobel Biocare implant systems and the All-on-4® Treatment Concept and has shared his clinical knowledge of full-arch dental implants, implant surgery and restorative treatment planning with other dental professionals.

A pioneer in digital dentistry, Dr. Salib combines 3D imaging, computer-guided implant surgery, digital treatment planning, bone grafting and sedation options into an individualized plan for every patient across Newport Beach and Orange County. As a member of the Clinical Advisory Board for SprintRay — a leader in dental 3D printing — his practice designs and 3D-prints temporary teeth in house, so qualified same-day patients leave with secure, natural-looking provisional teeth while the implants heal and the final full-arch restoration is completed.

What This Solves

A failing full arch
Replaces a mouth of failing or missing teeth with one fixed set.
Loose dentures
A fixed arch that does not slip, click or need adhesive.
Reduced chewing
Restores up to 90% of chewing capacity, versus about 10% with lower dentures.
Ongoing bone loss
Implants preserve the jawbone that dentures allow to shrink.
Years of treatment
Four implants, usually no grafting — teeth the same day, not over years.
A youthful smile
Restores the facial support and function that tooth loss takes away.

How much do full-mouth dental implants cost?

The cost of full-mouth dental implants — including All-on-4® and All-on-X full-arch dental implants — varies, because every treatment plan is customized to the patient’s oral health, jawbone anatomy and restorative needs. The total may depend on whether treatment involves one arch or both, the number and type of implants, tooth extractions, bone grafting, IV sedation, 3D-guided implant surgery, temporary same-day teeth, and the materials chosen for the final full-arch restoration.

Following a comprehensive consultation and 3D imaging, Dr. Nader Salib can determine whether you are a candidate for full-mouth implant rehabilitation and provide a personalized treatment estimate — including available insurance benefits, payment options and financing for patients in Newport Beach and throughout Orange County.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-X?
All-on-4® is the original technique — a full arch of fixed teeth supported by four implants. "All-on-X" is a general term for the same idea using a different number of implants (often five or six) when your bone or bite force calls for more support. Dr. Salib plans the exact number from your 3D scan: most patients with adequate front-jaw bone do well on four, while heavy grinders or those needing extra support may have five or six.
Can I receive full-mouth dental implants in one day?
In most cases, yes. When the implants achieve enough stability at surgery, a fixed temporary arch is placed the same day — you do not leave without teeth. That temporary is replaced with your final bridge once the implants have integrated, usually three to six months later. If the implants need more time to stabilize, the fixed teeth are delayed a short while.
How long does All-on-4 treatment take?
Surgery itself is usually several hours per arch — extractions, implant placement, and fitting the same-day temporary teeth. The overall treatment runs about three to six months from surgery to the final bridge while the implants fuse to the bone, and you wear fixed teeth the entire time.
How long do full-mouth dental implants last?
The implants themselves routinely last decades, and often for life, with good hygiene and regular check-ups. The bridge on top is the part that wears — a solid zirconia arch lasts considerably longer than an acrylic one, which may need refurbishment over the years.
Are All-on-4 implants removable?
No — this is a fixed solution. The bridge is screwed onto the implants and only Dr. Salib removes it for maintenance; it does not come out for cleaning and never needs adhesive. That is the main difference from a removable denture or a snap-in overdenture.
What can I eat after All-on-4 surgery?
Soft food for the first several weeks while the implants integrate — the same-day temporary teeth work, but they are not built to be stress-tested, so chew gently and avoid hard or crunchy foods. Once the final bridge is placed and the implants have fused, you can return to a normal diet and chew close to natural strength.
Does insurance cover full-mouth dental implants?
Partially at best — most dental plans cap annual benefits well below the cost of full-arch treatment, and the annual maximum, not the coverage percentage, is usually the real limit. Medical insurance sometimes contributes when tooth loss followed trauma or illness. We verify your benefits, apply anything available, and offer financing through CareCredit, no-interest monthly plans and all major cards.
What are the risks and alternatives?
Implant surgery is safe and highly predictable in experienced hands, but every surgery carries some risk — swelling, bruising, infection, or an implant not integrating; smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and severe grinding raise those risks and are assessed first. Alternatives range from a removable full denture to an implant-supported (snap-in) overdenture, and Dr. Salib reviews all of the options against your bone, bite and goals at the consultation.

“I had the best experience with this office! I went in to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth and was nervous prior to the procedure. Dr. Salib was so patient and walked me through the entire procedure. I didn’t feel a thing! It was the best experience! And the front staff was just as friendly and kind as he was. They answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. One of the cleanest offices I’ve been to…. I even had a great view from my treatment room! Truly a wonderful and great experience. I’m so happy this is where I came to get my treatment completed. Highly recommend this office! Thank you so much Dr. Salib!”

“I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE HERE! I am 23 years old and was kind terrified at my age to get them out due to higher bleeding risk. Due to me being in my 20s on my own I researched several people and did a consult here. I was super impressed and decided to choose him. Yes he was pricier but to me worth every penny!! He is priced higher for a reason in my opinion. Cause his healing after surgery was so fast!! The pain was minimal. The procedure itself was so quick and well done. He sent me home with all the supplies I needed, answered any and all questions. Sent the person taking me home with any aftercare instructions. The PRP after the procedure is more of a cost and honestly I wasn’t gonna do it. But I decided okay let’s try it.. it was sooo worth it. My sister did hers without this and took her over a week to heal and was in so much pain going to another oral surgeon doctor. Whereas I went here to Dr salib and did the PRP and was okay to resume activities in less than 2 days and has minimal pain. Highly highly recommend this doctor!! Choose him to get your wisdom teeth out for sure :)) great experience”
