What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. It fuses to the jawbone and supports a crown, bridge or full arch — anything from a single tooth to a whole set.

Because it replaces the root, an implant preserves the jawbone that dentures and bridges do not, and it does not require reducing the healthy teeth on either side. That is why it is the preferred method of tooth replacement today.

What Implants Solve

A single missing tooth
One implant, one crown — without touching the healthy teeth beside it.
Several missing teeth
An implant-supported bridge using fewer implants than teeth.
A full arch
A fixed set of teeth on as few as four implants, often the same day.
Loose dentures
Implants anchor a denture so it stops slipping and needing adhesive.
Ongoing bone loss
The implant preserves jawbone that dentures and bridges allow to shrink.
Not enough bone
Socket preservation, grafting or a sinus lift rebuilds the site first.

Implant Solutions for Every Level of Tooth Loss

A single titanium dental implant with a custom crown

Single Implants

  • Fills a single gap without touching or relying on the teeth on either side
  • Finished with a custom crown color-matched to the rest of your smile
  • Preserves the jawbone at the site the missing tooth left behind
An implant-supported bridge replacing several missing teeth

Implant-Supported Bridges

  • Held by implants instead of grinding down the healthy teeth beside the gap
  • Brings back full chewing strength across several missing teeth
  • A fixed restoration that stays put — nothing to take in and out
An implant-supported denture anchored on implants

Implant-Supported Dentures

  • Clip securely onto a few implants for a stable, confident fit
  • Ends the sore spots, slipping and adhesives of a conventional denture
  • Removable for easy cleaning, yet locked in place while you wear it
Full-mouth dental implants restoring a complete set of teeth

Full-Mouth Dental Implants

  • Rebuilds a whole arch on just a few precisely placed implants
  • Often lets you leave with a fixed set of teeth the same day
  • Permanent, natural-looking results made to last

Are You a Candidate?

Missing one tooth, several, or a whole arch
Loose or uncomfortable dentures
Healthy gums and enough bone, or suitable for grafting
Not a heavy smoker; diabetes and gum disease assessed first
Wanting a permanent alternative to a bridge or denture

What Do They Cost?

Price will vary depending on the number of teeth needed to be replaced, bone level, and sedation option chosen. We accept most insurances and will work with you to maximize your benefits if you qualify. A detailed description will be provided after meeting with Dr. Salib who will personally review your 3D CBCT and meet with you at your consultation.

Aftercare

First 48 hours: rest, ice and soft food
Eat on the other side while the implant integrates
Brush and floss gently around the site as directed
No smoking — it slows healing and raises the risk of failure
Keep your follow-up and hygiene visits

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do dental implants cost?
It depends on how many implants are needed, whether grafting or extractions are involved, the material used and the restoration on top. Your consultation and 3D scan establish the plan, and you leave with every cost itemized in writing before you decide anything.
Are dental implants worth it?
For most patients, yes. An implant is a one-time investment that can last for decades, and because it replaces the tooth root it preserves the jawbone that a bridge or denture allows to shrink. Bridges and dentures are typically replaced every several years, so over time an implant often works out to be the more economical option as well as the more comfortable one.
Does the procedure hurt?
During the procedure, no — the area is fully numbed and sedation is available up to IV sedation administered by Dr. Salib. Afterwards, expect mild soreness for a few days, usually less than an extraction.
How long does the whole process take?
Placement is one day; the implant then fuses to bone over 3 to 6 months before the final restoration. For a full arch, a fixed set of teeth can be placed the same day as surgery.
How long do implants last?
With good hygiene, implants routinely last decades and many last for life. The crown on top may need replacing after 10 to 15 years while the implant itself remains.
Will my implants look and feel natural?
Yes. The final crown, bridge or arch is custom-made to match the shape, shade and translucency of your natural teeth, and because the implant supports it from the root it feels and works like a real tooth. Preserving the jawbone also keeps your natural facial shape, which dentures cannot.
Are dental implants hard to care for?
No. You look after an implant exactly as you would a natural tooth — normal brushing, flossing around it, and routine hygiene visits. There are no special pastes, soaks or adhesives, and nothing to take out at night.
Is dental implant surgery safe?
It is one of the most predictable procedures in dentistry, with published success rates around 95 to 98 percent when done properly. Dr. Salib is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who plans every case from a 3D CBCT scan — mapping the bone, nerve and sinus before surgery rather than discovering them during it — which is what keeps placement safe and precise.
Do I need to be missing all my teeth to get implants?
No. Implants suit any degree of tooth loss. A single implant replaces one missing tooth without touching the healthy teeth beside it, a few implants can carry a bridge, and as few as four can support a fixed full arch.
What if I don't have enough bone or have gum disease?
Bone loss after an extraction is common and usually addressable — socket preservation, grafting or a sinus lift rebuilds the site. Active gum disease is treated first so the implant sits in healthy tissue. A 3D CBCT scan settles whether an implant is possible and what, if anything, needs to be done first.
Can I get implants if I smoke?
Smoking raises the risk of implant failure and slower healing, so it is assessed and discussed first. It is not always an absolute barrier, but it matters.

What Our Implant Patients Say

The results exceeded my expectations—everything feels natural, secure, and looks amazing. My dentures fit perfectly, and I finally feel confident smiling again. What stood out the most was the level of care and communication throughout the entire process. I was always informed, never rushed, and truly felt like a priority. “I had the best experience with this office! I went in to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth and was nervous prior to the procedure. Dr. Salib was so patient and walked me through the entire procedure. I didn’t feel a thing! It was the best experience! And the front staff was just as friendly and kind as he was. They answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. One of the cleanest offices I’ve been to…. I even had a great view from my treatment room! Truly a wonderful and great experience. I’m so happy this is where I came to get my treatment completed. Highly recommend this office! Thank you so much Dr. Salib!”

“I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE HERE! I am 23 years old and was kind terrified at my age to get them out due to higher bleeding risk. Due to me being in my 20s on my own I researched several people and did a consult here. I was super impressed and decided to choose him. Yes he was pricier but to me worth every penny!! He is priced higher for a reason in my opinion. Cause his healing after surgery was so fast!! The pain was minimal. The procedure itself was so quick and well done. He sent me home with all the supplies I needed, answered any and all questions. Sent the person taking me home with any aftercare instructions. The PRP after the procedure is more of a cost and honestly I wasn’t gonna do it. But I decided okay let’s try it.. it was sooo worth it. My sister did hers without this and took her over a week to heal and was in so much pain going to another oral surgeon doctor. Whereas I went here to Dr salib and did the PRP and was okay to resume activities in less than 2 days and has minimal pain. Highly highly recommend this doctor!! Choose him to get your wisdom teeth out for sure :)) great experience”
